Type a set number. Print every brick.

Bricklo turns a set number into a ready-to-print slicer project: every brick in the set, sized so printed bricks clutch like the real ones, laid out one plate per colour.

Works with LEGO® set numbers. Complete your sets, replace missing parts, or print the bricks for your own creations.

Three build plates stacked in a slicer, one per colour: red bricks on the front plate, yellow and blue bricks on the plates behind it.

From set number to print in three steps

Bricklo runs on your computer. It downloads the parts and the set list once, then builds the project for you.

  1. Type a set number

Any set from the box or from Rebrickable, which lists nearly every set ever made.

  2. Pick your printer

Bricklo sets up the bed size and print settings for the printer you choose.

  3. Open it in your slicer and print

One project file with every brick laid out. Choose a filament for each plate and press print.

Printed bricks don’t clutch. These do.

A brick holds because each stud is pinched between the wall and the tube of the brick above it. The margin between a firm grip and no grip at all is about a tenth of a millimetre.

Printers aren’t that exact. Plastic spreads as it’s laid down, so outer walls come out a little fat and holes a little small. Print a brick straight from a 3D model and it either rattles or won’t press on.

Bricklo finds every stud, tube, wall, axle and pin hole in every part, and moves each surface by its own amount. Tune it once with a test print, and every brick in every set follows.

  • 8 fit settingsStuds, tubes, inner and outer walls, axles, pins and their holes
  • 0.01 mmStuds, domes and holes are rounded to within this of the true curve
  • WatertightEvery part is repaired into one solid, so your slicer never asks to fix it
  • One plate per colourSwap filament per plate, not per brick

0.000 mm Rattles: bricks fall apart
Drag the stud size and watch the gap close. Offsets are drawn 8× larger. The right value depends on your printer and filament; a 2×2 plate and a 2×4 brick are all you need to find it.

Questions

Is this legal?

Bricklo is an independent tool for printing bricks for your own use: completing a set, replacing a lost part, or building your own creations. It ships no set models and no official content. Part shapes come from the community-built LDraw parts library, set inventories come from Rebrickable, and Bricklo downloads both to your computer.

Brick designs can still be protected in some countries, so print for yourself and don’t sell prints as official products. Bricklo isn’t affiliated with the LEGO Group.

Which printers does it support?

All Bambu Lab printers, plus popular Prusa, Creality, Elegoo, Anycubic and other printers through OrcaSlicer project files. See the printer list.

Windows says “Windows protected your PC”. What do I do?

That message comes from Microsoft SmartScreen. It appears for new apps that haven’t built up a download history with Microsoft yet. It doesn’t mean a problem was found. To start Bricklo:

  1. Click More info.
  2. Click Run anyway.

You only need to do this the first time.

My Mac says Bricklo can’t be opened. What do I do?

Bricklo isn’t from the App Store, so macOS asks you to confirm it once. It doesn’t mean a problem was found. To start Bricklo:

  1. Open Bricklo-Mac.zip from your Downloads folder (Safari may have unzipped it already), then drag Bricklo into your Applications folder.
  2. Double-click Bricklo. macOS says it can’t verify the app: click Done.
  3. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down to Security, and click Open Anyway next to “Bricklo was blocked”.
  4. Click Open Anyway again and enter your Mac password.

You only need to do this the first time. If macOS says Bricklo “is damaged”, open Terminal, paste xattr -cr /Applications/Bricklo.app, press Return, and open Bricklo again.

What happens after I buy?

You get a licence key by email. Paste it into Bricklo and Unlimited unlocks straight away. The same key works on up to 3 of your computers.

What do I need to run it?
  • Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), or a Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer).
  • About 1 GB of free disk space.
  • An internet connection the first time, to download the parts library (about 230 MB). After that it works offline for sets you’ve loaded.
  • A slicer: Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer, both free.
What about minifigures?

Minifigures aren’t supported and aren’t included in projects. Bricklo is made for the parts that need to clutch: bricks, plates, tiles, slopes and Technic parts.

Start with a small set.

Free covers sets up to 100 pieces. Print one, press it onto a real brick, and feel the clutch for yourself.
